1. Discuss the trajectory of the mission of God that Genesis launched. What does it mean to say that this passage lies on that same trajectory?
2. How should we understand Jesus’ audience? To whom does the Great Commission apply and how does this relate to the church?
3. Discuss the motivations that Jesus’ authority provides. What is the most fundamental motivation that drives us to participate in Jesus’ commission?
4. What is the goal of Jesus’ commission and how does this fit into the mission of God? What does it mean that we are a “so that” people?
